About

Echoes worked together with multi-award winning Australian sound artist and acoustic ecologist Leah Barclay on the AURALITY app. Leah is working at the intersection of art, science and technology; AURALITY is an augmented reality audio project exploring Queensland’s rainforests, rivers, and reefs through music, sound and acoustic ecology.

The free app for iOS and Android launched on World Listening Day (18th July 2017) with 100 soundscapes activated across Queensland. AURALITY active locations include Brisbane, Noosa, Tin Can Bay, Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Yeppoon, Airlie Beach, Townsville and Cairns. The app is presented by Queensland Music Festival, Brisbane City Council, The Queensland Conservatorium Research Centre, Noosa Alive and Noosa Regional Gallery.
